I hope you are having a nice week. I am trying to kick a cold. I was sick for the last Specks & Keepings shoot as well...hopefully I will be better for Saturday. The Blue Path, denim works by Renilde De Peuter. Very beautiful! Afghan and watch bracelets for Specks & Keepings by KOTOA. They are in the mail.
I love spending time making and visiting, in my friend Annika's home. It is filled with carefully and somewhat carelessly arranged goods and collected bits. It is one of my very favorite spaces and is always inspiring.
Hope you all have a relaxing Saturday...mine will be filled with organizing for the Specks & Keepings shoot next weekend.
The internet is a messy maze of fantastic things to get lost in. This happened to me today. Almost all images found via earth from space, an amazing blog. Third and fourth image via I like this blog. Also visit...here & here.
I am a bit frantically looking for a model for the next Specks & Keepings shoot, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 27th. Any Baltimore ladies interested? The model we had lined up can't make it. If you could email me with photos and measurements at info@specksandkeepings.com, that would be wonderful. Here is a bit of styling inspiration...
Works by Maria Walker, drawing as painting, painting as sculpture. I like these. The titles are so juicy, they give the pieces a history, describe an action that seems frozen; they are moment making. Found her via NUDASHANK, a gallery here in Baltimore. They showcase interesting artworks and they have a great shop. Opposite Knead, 2009 Back to Back to Back, 2009 Untitled, 2010
