Happy Halloween

In being completely honest, I never much liked Halloween. Even as a child, I preferred to sit by the front door and hand out candy rather than trick or treat. But I do appreciate the magic of dress up.

Above is one of my favorite costumes. I loaned my friend Paola my Rebe coat so she could complete her Mary Poppins costume. I think it came out charming. She wore it to the nursery school where she teaches. I imagine the children loved it! Although, I am confident Paola doesn't need such an enchanting get-up to excite the little ones each day. She is so wonderful all on her own.

Dia Frampton in Rebe via KoreAm. Photographs by David Studarus. The dress she is wearing will be available in the shop come the holidays. It is my favorite!

I like this home, from Fine Little Day. So much warm pattern. This is how I imagine the inside of a pumpkin would feel if decorated just right.

Interesting things from QooQoo.

Family

I have been meaning to post these photographs of my mom and sister at the Fall 2011 Rebe shoot. I think they are so nice. My sister, Malaika, is the beautiful model and my mom is the designer behind the wonderful women's apparel company, Rebe. I love them both and am so pleased to see how wonderfully they were able to collaborate in showcasing the collection so beautifully.

I like this composition. Porvoo Beeswax Crayons from KIOSK.

A look at craft shows

Here are a few photos from the Chicago Renegade Craft Fair and Crafty Bastards. Chicago was a wonderful time but Crafty Bastards was a bit cold and wet...hopefully next year the weather will treat us better in DC.

Our booth in Chicago.

Our booth in Washington DC. The new yellow Rebe Raincoat is so nice, we sold them all. I liked this woman's look, nice details.

At home

These photos are from a few weeks ago, but just getting around to sharing them now. A table full of new sewing goods from a friend, sleepy animals, and Annika being silly in fun pants. Also a few new embroidered objects.
